Formed in 2012 and based in London, the United Strings of Europe (USE) is an ensemble of a dozen outstanding young European players led by British-Lebanese violinist Julian Azkoul. The group is renowned for its fresh approach to programming, championing living composers and commissioning new works. Their multi-faceted outreach program runs workshops for young people, refugees and disadvantaged groups, partnering with charities and social enterprise organisations in the UK and Lebanon where they also perform regularly.
