Season Preview: Your guide to the arts in 2021

West Australia Opera will present the world premiere of two Australian works in 2021 – the first opera performed in Noongar language and a new work by Tim Finn – as well as popular works by Rossini, Mozart, Mascagni and Leoncavallo.

“WAO 2021 will celebrate a milestone for Opera in the Park, see two new productions for Perth involving a man called Figaro, launch collaborations with the tertiary sector and regional communities, visit the heartland of Italian verismo, watch Star Navigatorset sail, and show respect for the oldest continuous living culture by presenting the first Indigenous opera performed in Noongar,” said WAO Music Director Chris van Tuinen.
