South Australia’s UKARIA Cultural Centre has announced new Winter and Spring seasons for 2021. The picturesque concert hall will present two seasons of musicians from around Australia, including some performances originally scheduled for 2020, which were cancelled due to travel and safety restrictions.

The winter season begins on 1 August with Driftwood, a recital from the Brisbane-based Orava Quartet, who will perform selections from their Wood Works album, followed by Erwin Schulhoff’s folk music inspired first string quartet and ending with Alexander Borodin’s love-filled String Quartet No 2.

On 8 August, violinist Emily Sun, cellist Richard Narroway, and pianist Vatche Jambazian present Homecoming, celebrating their individual returns to Australia after international studies performances. They will perform Ross Edwards’ atmospheric Piano Trio, Shostakovich’s intricate Piano Trio No 1, and Mendelssohn’s romantic Piano Trio No 2.
