Celebrity guests brave the inclement Sydney weather to see popstar Delta Goodrem in Lloyd Webber’s musical.

The hotly anticipated latest Australian production of Cats opened at Sydney’s Capitol Theatre last night, headlined by Aussie popstar and The Voice judge Delta Goodrem in the role of Grizabella the glamour cat. However it wasn’t just the cast of this production of Andrew Lloyd Webber’s global smash hit that was starry. A constellation of celebrities turned out for the performance, and despite a sudden deluge from one of Sydney’s infamous spring storms, no one was letting the rain dampen their spirits.

Among the the invited guests were The Block presenters Scott Cam and Shelley Craft, actress and star of Opera Australia’s smash hit, The King and I, Lisa McCune, Australian musical theatre legend Caroline O’Connor, actor Richard Roxborugh and his wife, TV chef Silva Collca with their two sons, and Packed to the Rafters actor Ben Mingay.
