Western Sydney’s premier performing arts centre, Riverside Theatres, will bring the world to Parramatta in their 2016 season, announced earlier today. 15 world-class productions will explore fascinating human stories from the past, present and future with seminal classics and innovative premieres receiving equal time in the spotlight.

The season opens with All My Love: a story of two heroes of Australian literature, poet and novelist Henry Lawson and writer and socialist Mary Gilmore, caught up in a love affair that rapidly spirals into a devastating deception. Writer Anne Brooksbank has used excerpts from the couple’s surviving letters to recreate this amazing true story. This will be the first time the intense and forbidden relationship between Lawson and Gilmore is brought to the professional stage.

Sonically rich and bittersweet, Daffodils is a real life romance presented in Kiwi cabaret style. Songs from Crowded House, LIPS and Chris Knox animate the show that’s set against a backdrop of 1960s Kodak stills, home movies and fashion photography from Garth Badger.
