Yukie Ota gives near perfect performance despite insect landing on her face.

In Australia we know a thing or two about creepy-crawlies. Most of us might not be able to hold our nerve if a bug – even a harmless one – decided to go for a walk on our face.

Meet Yukie Ota. Here she is performing at the Carl Nielsen International Flute Competition in Odense, Denmark, vying for a place in the final. Her performance is extremely impressive – even more so when a Butterfly lands on her nose mid-performance without Yukie so much as flinching.  Her remarkably steele-nerved performance didn’t go unrewarded, as Yukie has subsequently made it to the final six competitors.
