The Omega Ensemble has launched a new bar-by-bar commissioning project that will allow supporters to donate individual bars to a new piece by US composer Nico Muhly, which will premiere in Part 2 of the group’s 2021 season. The micro-commissioning initiative will see the composer – from whom the ensemble commissioned  Unexpected News in 2019 – write this new work as additional bars are added. Supporters, who can donate up to five bars, will receive a one-of-a-kind certificate with their bars from the final score.
