In her latest musical adventure, Katie Noonan has announced the formation of a new a cappella vocal quartet called AVÉ – Australian Vocal Ensemble – featuring four fine Australian vocalists: Noonan herself, mezzo-soprano Fiona Campbell, tenor Andrew Goodwin and baritone David Greco.

AVÉ will blend old and the new repertoire. Each performance will feature new Australian work and engage with First Nations musicians and communities.

Based in Brisbane, Noonan is an acclaimed soprano and singer-songwriter with five ARIA Awards and a total of 27 ARIA nominations under her belt. Over the course of her career she has produced 20 albums, seven of which have reached platinum status. She has performed with numerous arts organisations among them Sydney Dance Company, the Australian Chamber Orchestra, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, Queensland Ballet and Circa Contemporary Circus. In 2016, she was appointed as the Artistic Director of the biennial Queensland Music Festival, and headed the 2017 and 2019 Festivals. She was also the Music Director of the Commonwealth Games Opening and Closing Ceremonies in Brisbane in 2018.
