Season Preview: Your guide to the arts in 2021

The Four Winds Festival has announced its 2021 program, which will take place over the Easter long weekend (2 – 4 April) at its magnificent Barragga Bay site near Bermagui on the New South Wales South Coast.

This year’s multi-arts program will range from English Baroque to Candelo folk, from Middle Eastern song to contemporary dance, from ancient Yuin culture to ancient Greek tales, and from Romantic poetry to Ravel piano trios.

Highlights include a celebration of local Yuin artists, Australian Chamber Orchestra Principal Cello Timo-Veikko Valve performing one of Bach’s cello suites, a program of music by contemporary female composers performed by the Sydney Symphony Orchestra 2020 Fellows, and Compassion, the award-winning song cycle created by Australian composer Nigel Westlake and vocalist Lior.

The festival will also present a performance of Cinco by Sydney Dance Company, and The Iliad – Out Loud, William Zappa’s acclaimed nine-hour theatre adaptation of Homer’s epic tale The Iliad.
