The Organ

When he sang with his primary school choir at Sydney Town Hall the organ awoke something in David Drury. He has now played organs around the world – and the differences are mind-blowing.

My father was a Methodist minister so I was aware of organs in churches but there was nothing particularly inspiring about any of those. I think the first time I really noticed the organ was going to the Sydney Town Hall when I was in my primary school choir. We were good enough to be chosen to go into the Combined Schools Choral Festival at the Town Hall....
