The Serbian violinist is known and cherished for his energetic stage presence and fiercely unique approach to music. Ahead of his performance with the Sydney Symphony, he shares some of his favourite albums with us, which range from Rattle’s Mozart to English alt-rock band Muse.

This live version of Mozart’s symphonies with the incredible Sir Simon Rattle is one of the most alive – full of vivid colours and intentions. When I’m listening to this, I feel thankful!

Jelena Tomašević

In this album, the Serbian singer Jelena Tomašević sings like an angel telling a story. I listen to Jelena very often – her music is a real treat for pop music lovers. I would love for others to discover Jelena’s album as well as the Serbian pop-music scene!

The Italian mezzo-soprano Cecilia Bartoli is one of the reasons why I am happy to be living in this day and age. She is a real artist who takes you into her world and makes you feel so alive. This compilation album will show you why.

This is a must-have album from English band Muse! You can listen to it when driving but I suggest sitting and listening to each second of The Resistance with focus. It has absolutely everything: sound, harmonies, expression, energy. One of my favourite bands of all time!
