Music director Glen Roven has released the video for The Hillary Tapes starring a host of opera A-listers.

While Donald Trump was sworn in as President of the United States, a series of protests and counter Inaugurations took place around the country.

Glen Roven, a New York musical director, came up with the idea for The Hillary Speeches – a setting of the words of unsuccessful Democratic candidate Hillary Clinton. The impressive line-up of opera stars who signed up to sing their bit for tolerance and hope included Isabel Leonard, Nathan Gunn, Lawrence Brownlee, Matthew Polenzani, Patricia Racette and Australian bass Daniel Sumegi.

Over the last few weeks, Roven and director Camille Zamora have edited the individual contributions for The Hillary Speeches into a film, which premiered at exactly the moment Donald Trump was inaugurated as President of the United States. The event was live-streamed and hosted for the public, and is now available on YouTube.
