12 artists across seven artistic disciplines recognised with $100,000 award.

The Australia Council has announced the recipients of its highly coveted Fellowship bursaries for 2015, which are awarded annually to support the creative work and professional development of outstanding, established artists living and working in Australia across a range of disciplines.

This year 12 artists, working in seven different artistic fields have been selected to benefit from the generous scheme, which is the most substantial award of its type in Australia. Choreographer Yumi Umiumare, experimental sound artist Gail Priest, site-responsive theatre maker Tamara Saulwick, director Patrick Nolan, poet David Brooks, community arts leader Jennifer Lyons-Reid, composers Oren Ambarchi, Kate Neal and Dr Rosalind Page, and visual artists Marco Fusinato, Jill Orr and Cameron Robbins will each receive $100,000 of funding spread over two years.
