Limelight presents the 39 Archibald finalists. The arts dominate proceedings as in many years with the most striking entries in 2013 including portraits of violinist Warren Ellis as well as actors Bille Brown, Hugo Weaving, Asher Keddie (entitled Love Face), Naomi Watts, Toni Collette and burlesque artist Venus Vamp. The portrait of writer Tara Moss has won the Packing Room Prize. The exhibition of the finalists runs from March 23 to June 2.

The Doug Moran National Portrait Prize was established by the Moran family in 1988 to celebrate Australia’s Bicentenary and is the richest portrait prize in the world. The 31 winners and finalists for 2011 are now on display at the State Library of New South Wales in a free exhibition.
