The joy of this album is not just that it’s a superior example of Irish folk music, but that it’s also highly original.

For this we can thank Bob Brozman, renowned for his diverse collaborations with musicians from India, PNG and Okinawa among others. McSherry’s uilleann pipes and O’Connor’s fiddle playing are spirited and lyrical. Brozman is always sympathetic to their Irishness yet changes it in ways that are both bright and subtle.
