AdYO: Maestro Series 3 | “War & Peace”
We don’t often celebrate War and Peace.
This program is the perfect opportunity with two works that are closely associated with the theme, Shostakovich’s Festive Overture written to commemorate the 1917 Russian Revolution and Tchaikovsky’s Nutcracker. In between, gifted young cellist James Morley will perform Saint-Saëns’ imaginatively dramatic Cello Concerto No 1.
