Love in Venice - The Song Company
A hilarious comedy set in the waters in Venice which tells the story of an unlikely encounter complimented by nine mind-blowing madrigals.
For this all-Italian extravaganza, Artistic Director, Roland Peelman has selected nine exquisite songs from, Monteverdi's famed erotic madrigals as counterpart to Banchieri's 1623 Boat from Venice to Padua.
This entertaining and early musical comedy sees the Song Company flit between a set of colourful characters who share an encounter on a small boat in a plot packed with innuendo and double-entendre. The Song Company once again proves their chameleon talents in this romantic and uproarious concert.
With Guest Artists Tommie Anderson (lute/teorbo/guitar) and Laura Vaughan (lirone/gamba)
